Melanie Speaks!
The other night we were listening to some international children's album and on comes "Waltzing Matilda." Melanie looks at Amalia and says, "Amalia, this is 'Waltzing Matilda', which is Australian for 'Sweet Home Alabama.""

I think it was Bob Wills and the Texas playboys
who played a cover of it. Ernest Tubbs (my friend
Dale's godfather)covered many wonderful waltzes
such as "WM". I played in a country band for a
few years in Iowa where the waltzes were still
appreciated as an old romantic dance form by commoners who don't know the meaning of hip or cool. Now thats's refreshing!
