Friday Five
1. What's the most daring thing you've ever done?
Getting married.
2. What one thing would you like to try that your mother/friend/significant other would never approve of?
Ole! Not as a matador de toros, but I would like to step on the sand in some fashion some day.
3. On a scale of 1-10, what's your risk factor? (1=never take risks, 10=it's a lifestyle)
5
4. What's the best thing that's ever happened to you as a result of being bold/risky?
Getting married
5. ... and what's the worst?
I plead the fifth.

Absolutely! I highly recommend the recipe that I use. I have found that the results are better than the commercial stuff that one must pay an arm and a leg for. One caveat is that it must age. Tell your friends and family to wait until at least Easter before touching the stuff. It is technically ready now, but giving it longer just makes it better. I have some that is three years old, and the walnut flavor will not stop. A great way to finish a meal.
Anyway, I will dig up my recipe and will open a new post with it!
Posted by: Erik Keilholtz at February 6, 2004 2:30 PMHello Sir,
This has nothing to do with you last post, so please forgive me. This is actually about the Nocino you wrote about in some of your previous posts.
As you can tell by my last name - I am a fan of the Walnut. I decided to make my own Nocino in June to distribute to family and friend during the 2004 holidays.
I have dug up about 10 different recipes, but never had a direct line to somebody who has actually made it.
Would it be possible to engage in a discussion about this - or, perhaps, get your recipe for it? Any and all assistance would be invaluable.
Thank you in advance, Jim Nocito
